As kids, when we heard the ice cream truck come down our street, we quickly asked for some money from our parents before running out the door to catch it. Well, this dog is really no different, except instead of waiting for a dollar from his dad, he eagerly listens for the command that it's okay to go.
Watch as Reggie sits in line and waits his turn...he almost can't contain his excitement for what's to come!

Just when you think you have nature figured out, a weird video like this one comes along. Below, you can see a crew of men in working somewhere in the desert of Saudi Arabia, trying to fill a hole. However, every time they fill it with sand or other debris, after a few moments, it shoots back out, sort of like a geyser.

Is there some sort of monster living below the sands of Saudi Arabia?

It sort of looks like the monster from "Return Of The Jedi."

Likely, what we're seeing here is a naturally occurring blowhole. According to the National Park Service, blowholes are formed from small openings in the ground through which air blows out or sucks in. This is caused by a temperature gradient between the air inside the hole and outside of it. Once the temperatures inside and outside the hole equalize, that's usually when the hole stops blowing.

Near-death experiences can be harrowing for both onlookers and the lucky souls who survive.

A bus was driving down the street when its dash cam recorded something incredible. Just as it passed a construction site, a crane began to fall...with innocent passersby on the sidewalk.

Wait for the 0:26 mark...

He was seconds away from a very bad situation.

If you live in a major city and have to walk beneath scaffolding and cranes, you might think that construction causes countless deaths every year (if you are exceptionally paranoid, anyway). However, according to these crane accident statistics, "a world wide total of 86 incidents involving the collapse or major structural failure of a tower crane have been identified as taking place between 1989 and 2009."

But that doesn't mean this guy was any less lucky!

Unbelievable! Sixteen million Filipino voters chose the 16th president of the Republic of the Philippines: Rodrigo Roa Duterte. That the choice is someone who is obviously not into mainstream politics but was a simple mayor of Davao City known for his tough stance, reflects the people’s yearning for a strong leader, telling us to our faces – “We want things to change.”

Analysts attribute the big voter turnout, which hit a record-high 81 percent, to supporters of the popular mayor who was besieged from all fronts by critics and detractors. Duterte has now surpassed the votes of all other presidential candidates in the past with close to 16 million votes.

The mayor himself told us he could not believe he was running and he still could not believe he is poised to become president. The tough talking mayor gained a few more fans when he said it is time to begin healing the nation, extending the hand of friendship to his rivals and critics. We were all moved when he broke down in tears in front of his parents’ tomb, asking his mother for help since he is “just a nobody” – which clearly shows us he is as human as one can see, whose emotions can be frail, overwhelmed perhaps at the thought of what’s ahead for him as president.

As Manny Pangilinan said, the result of the elections is an “in-your-face message to all of us in the establishment” because people have chosen someone out-of-the-box to be their next leader.

And now, it is incumbent upon all of us to rally behind the incoming president because the task ahead is very clear – and the people around him and his advisers should be there to help Rody Duterte, not because they have an agenda for themselves. Businessmen have also pledged to support the administration of Duterte to ensure sustainable economic growth. Even the stock market surged after the elections, with the peso soaring the most against the dollar in six weeks.
Among those whose names are being floated as possible members of the Duterte administration are former Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro and former Trade Undersecretary Tommy Alcantara, who I think are both good choices. Other names mentioned include former Press Secretary Jess Dureza and former Agriculture Secretary Sonny Dominguez who are both welcomed by those of us who know them.

It is good to see someone who is very popular among the people become the next president, given the task of unifying Filipinos who have been so polarized. People must give the incoming administration a chance, and I think choosing the right people around him to become members of his official family is going to be very crucial as they will help define the Duterte presidency.

As for the pending disqualification cases, those cases should be thrown out the window because they have all become moot and academic. The people have spoken and it would be stupid for Comelec to disregard the voice of the people. We are already starting on a high note, and even Duterte critic, Senator Sonny Trillanes said, “let’s not be a party pooper.”

Our sincere congratulations to the new president of the Republic of the Philippines!

Over 88 per cent of commuters in Mumbai travel by public transport, out of which the local trains — with their impressive reach and connectivity — are the most preferred. In fact, Mumbai’s local train system’s capacity to carry a multitude of commuters is legendary. It is estimated that over 7.5 million people commute by the local trains daily, making it one of the busiest commuter rail systems in the world. Most, eventually, learn how to navigate the rush hour crowd, but for the newly relocated, boarding Mumbai’s local trains can be indeed daunting. This incredible video acts as an instruction manual on how to successfully board and deboard a local train during rush hour.

Known for their heartwarming holiday commercials, Coca-Cola has done it again, but this time in a more tangible way. This year, they created an incredibly easy way to show off your holiday spirit to your friends and family. Just grab a Christmas-edition bottle, follow these simple instructions, and bring the magic home for yourself!

It's not like they're showing off this cool little Christmas surprise -- so I wonder how many people know about it! We sure are thankful that this YouTuber let us in on his holiday find. Happy holidays, everyone!

This little otter has life totally figured out.

Instead of getting up to snack on his favorite foods, the little guy is perfectly content lying on his back, only slightly moving to grab another tasty treat. The only way his life could be any better was if someone was fanning him with a tiny palm leaf...or better yet, feeding him!

If this otter was any more laid back, he'd be in a coma. This little guy is a true inspiration!

Mishka, the Karelian bear dog, is a wildlife service dog who is specially trained to help recondition habituated bears. He does this by scaring bears who have become too reliant on human settlements for food. It's a somewhat harsh lesson, but a necessary one.

Despite having to be menacing during work hours, Mishka is a gentle soul. So when a tiny orphaned fawn mistook him for a parent, he took his role very seriously.

Hey Disney? Are you there..? It's me. I know what movie I'd like for Christmas, please.

Miss Philippines, Pia Wurtzbach, is this year's Miss Universe winner. But thanks to a blunder by Steve Harvey, the host of the event, her crowning was also the most awkward ceremony in recent Miss Universe history.

Wurtzbach was one of the final three contestants in the pageant, along with Miss USA Olivia Jordan and Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez. Jordan was in third, and Harvey called out Wurtzbach as second, making Gutierrez the winner.

What followed was possibly the most awkward uncrowning ceremony ever, as Gutierrez had to put on a brave smile and see her crown go to a stunned Wurtzbach.

Harvey looked shaken as he apologized for the gaffe later onstage. "I will take responsibility for this, it was my mistake," he said, holding up the results card to the camera.

But just as the Internet was reacting in anger and confusion, Harvey made matters worse by tweeting an apology — but spelled both Philippines and Colombia incorrectly. (He deleted the tweet moments after.)

Shortly after a picture of a Syrian refugee and the cat he brought to Greece on a life raft went viral, his kitten was quarantined by German authorities. After months of not knowing if they would be reunited, Moner Al Kadri finally found his cat Zaytouna back in his arms.

Al Kadri, 26, and his wife Nadia traveled for weeks across Europe with little rest and food, all the while carrying Zaytouna — which means Olive in Arabic, the symbol of peace and the color of her eyes — in a sling around their necks.

When they arrived at a refugee camp in Suhl, Germany, Zaytouna was confiscated and put in quarantine. Al Kadri, who does not speak German, told BuzzFeed News he did not know why or when they would get their cat back.

“We do not have kids yet,” Al Kadri told BuzzFeed News over WhatsApp, a free messaging and calling service, in October. “We only have Zaytouna. We need to get her back.”

Then, in mid-December, with little warning, a government worker showed up on their doorstep with an older Zaytouna.

“She told me in most cases when people bring their pets from Syria they just kill the animal,” Al Kadri said, adding that it was due to risk of diseases coming in from other countries.

“I don’t know why it didn’t happen to her,” he said, “but she is healthy and with us, and I haven’t felt this happy in a long time.”

Due to hazardous conditions in the refugee camp, Al Kadri and his wife fled the camp and sought refuge with German immigration activists in a nearby town.

The activists helped Al Kadri and his wife find an apartment, he told BuzzFeed News, where they live for free with the financial help of other German and Austrian friends they made during their travels.

Al Kadri said they try almost every day to get the local courts to give them official refugee status and paperwork, and thereby financial and health benefits and the ability to find a job.

Al Kadri had both his feet broken in Syria. They have not fully healed and, from photographs sent to BuzzFeed News, the bone is still visible.

Local hospitals have told him he cannot receive medical attention until he is given health insurance by the government. Until then, they are living off the kindness of friends.

“We do not have enough to eat, but we have a roof over our head and we are managing fine,” Al Kadri said.

Though he greatly appreciates all the help they have been offered, Al Kadri said he looks forward to regaining his independence.

“Since we arrived here so many people said [sic], ‘These refugees came to take our money from our government,’” Al Kadri wrote over WhatsApp. “But they don’t know or want to believe that we came here to [save] our lives and build it from the beginning with our hands and knowledge….We came here to work and live independently.”

The couple said they spend much of their days researching local universities for them to enroll in once they receive their papers. Al Kadri, who was a journalist with a degree in architectural engineering in Syria, said he hopes to continue his studies in Germany.

He and Nadia are also attempting to teach themselves German, Al Kadri told BuzzFeed News, using a text book given to them by the owner of their apartment.

“We refugees are messengers,” Al Kadri said of the importance of learning German. “We need to tell everyone in their language what is happening in Syria, and what they can do for the people there.”

But after nearly three months of not knowing, the couple at least can take solace in the return of their now-adult cat, Zaytouna.

The couple reunited with Zaytouna in Germany.

“The first thing she did was come crawl into bed with us,” Al Kadri said. “She remembers her name, she knows she is with her family.”

The government worker — who also brought cat food, treats, and toys for Zaytouna — told him that everyone at the pound had fallen in love with the cat while she was there, he added.

“She said, ‘She is so strong, running and jumping everywhere, and she loves the water!’” Al Kadri told BuzzFeed News over the phone shortly after Zaytouna was returned. “I said, ‘I know! That is my cat!’”

During her time in quarantine, Zaytouna also received her own passport.

“My cat is a European citizen!” Al Kadri said laughing.

Though the past few months have been incredibly difficult, Al Kadri said that now that he and Nadia have a place to live, friends to help them, and their cat to cuddle, they are too happy to care about the past.

“When you feel and see that everyone is equal,” Al Kadri said. “When you see you have the same rights and are respected as a human being, whatever your nationality, your color, your religion…then you should be happy.”
